Being very near to Great Saints/Deities

I read Saisatcharita and also have been following many incidents. It clearly shows that being very near to Great Saints/ or in sanctum sanatorium of GOD does not mean that you are purified totally. The past good deeds take us near to GOD but attaining moksha is our individual effort. GOD provides you an opportunity which everyone is not assured. This is the reason why in spite of being in close proximity of Saibaba many could not get away from their ego.
Although some had the great opportunity to spend maximum time with Saibaba, they behaved differently after his samadhi. They had to be persuaded to part with the belongings or gifts of Saibaba. Their ego did not permit them to believe that Saibaba belongs to the entire Universe.

We also know about the various controversies in different temples in the counttry where the priests were involved in several acts of corruption. The close proximity of the Deity did not stop them from indulging in such unholy acts. This is the reason why we find corruption and greed even in Great temples and other holy places.

Almighty gives a Golden Opportunity to purify our spirits but the bondage we have created around us does not allow us to come out of the material world.HE only brings you close to him physically but being close spiritually is a big task the average human being is unable to handle. If one is spiritually close to HIM attaining Exalted Happiness is Guaranteed and MOKSHA is only a matter of time.

India is one of the largest democracies in the world. It is a wonder that people of so many different faiths, casts and creed live in this country. But of late we frequently come across disturbances through religious and sectoral intolerance as witnessed in Punjab recently. This is perhaps because of too much politics. We can boast of a Parliament which has good percentage of MPs with criminal background irrespective of the parties they belong to.In this regard we have great uniformity and unity. The state assemblies also have the similar pattern.
A democracy which is lead by a body infested with representatives of the people with criminal background cannot contribute to the peace of the nation. The government can neither control crime nor terrorism. Here democracy means free to do any criminal activity and get away with it. It is unfortunate that crime and corruption are perpetuated by people who are vested with the responsibility to rule.
Courts are silent spectators to the atrocities because of political interference. Corruption is another factor which has reduced our democracy to farse.
The youth should put an end to all these miseries by realising these dangers and guide this nation to the path of material and mental progress.
